Breathwork that works
Living with communication and swallowing difficulties can place significant demands on both your body and mind. We understand that certain parts of speech and language therapy such as practicing new communication strategies, voice exercises, swallowing assessments and instrumental assessments (for example, videofluoroscopy or FEES), can be anxiety-provoking. They can bring moments of frustration and may feel tiring or uncomfortable. Even attending appointments and talking about the impact on daily life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Our team is here to guide and support you throughout, ensuring you feel informed, prepared, and safe at every step. We also want to provide tools that help you manage these moments with greater confidence.
Luma³ is available within our service as a supportive resource to help you feel grounded and more at ease. Through slow, guided breathing, it encourages your body to relax and reduces the tension that can affect speech, voice, and swallowing. You might choose to use it before a session or assessment to settle nerves, during therapy to stay regulated and focused, or afterwards to unwind. It offers a simple way to regain a sense of calm and control when things feel challenging.
